.cx sub-domains
The following sub - domains have been are reserved for Christmas Island entities. CiiA is the sole registrar for these Domains. Prospective Domain Registrants are invited to register provided they agree to be bound by the policies set by CiiA.

General Rules for registration of Christmas Island Sub-Domains
- Persons wishing to register in the above domain categories must be Christmas Island entities.
- Registration fee is covered by Dot CX Limited membership fee. Non-members wishing to register a domain name under these categories will be charged a nominal fee to recover the registry fee and trust contribution.
- Each member may register one domain name as part of their membership in Dot CX. If they wish to register additional Domains they will be charged a nominal fee to recover the registry fee and trust contribution.

Persons wishing to register a third level domain name ("Domain Name") under any of the above second level domains must:
(i) qualify for registration;
(ii) submit certain required information; and
(iii) meet the conditions detailed below. - The registrant is bound to adhere to the .cx ccTLD policies including the Dispute Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Domain Name Transfer Agreement, the Registration Agreement and any other agreement or policy applicable upon confirmation to Registrant that the Domain Name registration has been accepted and completed.

- A commercial entity whose registered office is on Christmas Island. Registrant will be required to provide evidence of ACN, ABN, or RBN number.

- A commercial or non-commercial entity whose registered office is on Christmas Island and who provides TCP/IP based voice or data services to the Christmas Island Community. Registrant will be required to provide evidence of ACN, ABN, or RBN number.

- The registrant must be an Organisation of some kind, that is, not an individual.
- The following are all acceptable, as is anything else that can reasonably be considered an Organisation.
- Companies,
- Statutory Authorities,
- Partnerships, etc,
- "Not for Profit" Organisation,
- non- commercial entities, i.e. associations or clubs; or
- A miscellaneous entity that does not fit into any other categories.

- The registrant must be an accredited Christmas Island educational or training institution.

- The registrant must be either a Federal or Local government agency or institution.
